My Ski Teaching Philosophy

Internationally licenced Coach & Instructor.

David TapleyFor me skiing is all about fun - I just love it. Enjoying the mountain in the company of friends and having a good time on the slopes.

With this in mind, my aim is to help you get the most from your skiing. By working with you on the fundamentals of skiing, but at the same time keeping it simple & light-hearted, I want to help you make the most of your skiing time when 'on snow'.

I focus on teaching effective skiing, while developing your tactical and psychological skills which will help you ski with confidence. My preference is to teach skills which will be useful at all levels of your skiing development, while avoiding teaching 'intermediary' skills that you may have to unlearn later as your Skiing develops.

My belief is that this combined approach will allow you to be more versatile when dealing with whatever slopes or prevailing conditions you find while out on the mountain. Strong technical skills will give you more effective skiing, which will mean that slopes will seem less challenging, which means you'll have more fun!
